Night Owl
Dark and safe, the sinking night
Emotions stir before dawn's light
proceeds to hide the awakening heart
be it whole or only part
Alive! Awake and questioning
the truth concerning everything
Before the moon sets down below
the restless soul longs to know
true meaning of this pulse inside
that which no one can confide
The soul retreats with morning's glow
never to find what is to know
