My Very First Movie

Remember your very first movie? I surely remember mine Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs It was nineteen thirty-nine! Went to a matinee with my parents “Sit still!” my mother said Saw two movies and a funny cartoon Still dancing round in my head! I remember being really frightened By the sight of the wicked old Queen Soon as Dopey came bouncing along Happy times returned to the screen! The music's been here for a lifetime “Whistle While You Work” And “Someday My Prince Will Come” That's when my ears start to perk Sure don't make 'em like that anymore Now they're 3-D animated gems Amazing but I long for simpler times Sure wish I could live 'em again!

Awww, this one's so sweet... I absolutely love this movie. Watched it always as a child. I always found the scene with Snow White running through the forest the scariest. Disney has filled many with such joy! I love to learn about your life through your poetry! Always, Laura

It's amazing how we can vividly recall certain things in our life! I guess you could call them milestones! Love, Jack xxx

You know I really can't remember MY first movie... it's all kind of a blur to me. But as always, your poems are great fun to read. I do, however, remember those little funny dancing cartoons! There are a couple outdoor theaters where I live... it's really fun sitting outside, covered in blankets, watching how they used to watch movies... there is a fairly recent movie that came out that's basically a tribute to older movies, it's called The Artist... I think you might like it!

The movie is black and white and (believe it or not) a silent movie! And yes it is modern... lol.
