My Shoes
I stood in your shoes
one day in May
your wife was in labour
seemed like all day
I walked the corridors
no smile on your face
worried and helpless
happiness no trace
doctor came to tell you
all will be alright
been a bit of a struggle
so hang on tight
I am dancing with happiness
down the corridor this time
can here a baby crying
think it is mine.
