My Regrets

You said my problem was my lack of love You said my problem was my hard exterior You said my problem was I rarely cared You said my problem was that I'm never there I know my problem's my lack of balance I know my problem's my lack of public depth I know my problem's my passiveness I know, I know, I know, shut up Why couldn't you just ask me why Why couldn't you just ask me why Instead of taunting me of all my insecurities? It's the easier action It's the reasonable thing Makes sense to me now I observe it Yeah, observation's normal Unlike what you agree with You love to make things hard before you know the details Oh well, I'm glad you're gone now I just pulled a You, no I don't But those lies will turn real And we'll both realize what's right with reason Well, I know I would But I'm free from you and your accusations I'm free from your yelling and your late night calls At least we tried, I guess, again I'll forget those days and use my passive mind To remember those bad things to forget you Again Why couldn't you just ask me why Why couldn't you just ask me why But I can keep saying that I'm still sick of you And, hey, I'll mean it but sincerely don't want to And, well, I'll think its just a waste to tell myself the truth 'Cause you're already gone, we've already tried, And I'll be blanking out the past It's the easier action It's the reasonable thing
