My Mom, My Anchor
I would always say
Mama, I'm going away
Living on this earth,
No longer can I take
In my life, I have just made
Way too many mistakes
Years of hurt and pain
Just what in life
Is there for me to gain
Thirty-one years ago,
Life changed for me
Started to see things,
I could never see
Mom reminded me
There are hopes and dreams
Still out there for you
Never give up on yourself
You will pull through
Mom was my anchor
In my life here
Many times, so many things
She tried to make clear
So glad she is in my life,
Couldn't make it without her, is so
She is a blessing to me
That I definitely know
