My Mama's Hair

My mama's beautiful, long, auburn hair was piled high upon her head. Undone, hung to her waist.

My favorite memory. My mothers hair seemed to me to hold all the mysteries of womanhood. Thankyou...

A lovely poem, Joyce. It brought a smile to my face, remembering my mother's long gorgeous hair, God rest her soul. Ty for this fond memory as seen through your poetic eyes. Much love to you grand lady.

oh Joyce, my mom's was that way too. I sure do miss it !!! Her hair took a long time to go white but changed to brownish auburn after 60.

Oh, I can still remember my grandmother brushing her waist-length hair. She wore it up most of the time, but my memory of this is very clear. A beautiful poem! Love, Carolyn
