My Little Ice Storm

Cold hands, warm heart or so the saying goes. But I've been told that through my veins a river of ice only flows! With the coldest of looks that could freeze you at fifty yards and more I'm told I have a heart of stone that's chilled right to its core! But this little ice show does mask a fire that brews one that threatens to slowly burn then explode just like a fuse So be grateful for my ice storm a thaw can set in quick but be careful where you start a flame it might just be my wick!!

Beneath that icy exterior, I'm sure you have a warm heart, Emma. I love the irony in this poem. If someone "melts your heart," he could be in for an explosion of passion. Great work here! Best wishes, Carolyn
