This is a collaboration piece I wrote with Freddie Robinson. It was a joy and honor to write with such a talented poet.
The spirit of the woman I love
has changed me, this I do know
The sheer force of her femininity
has made me a better man, absolutely so
She engages me with godly dialog,
it helps elevate my consciousness
She's the woman I've always desired,
who truly makes me feel blessed
She's my better half
Lord knows, she is the best
She completes my identity,
I love her unconditionally, I confess
The spirit of the man I love
is so amazing, this I do feel
He loved me in spite of my
brokenness
God has blessed me from above,
with this man's love I'm now healed
He caresses my heart like a dove's sigh,
with such gentle tenderness
He's my better half
God knit our hearts together
He completes me so in every way,
I'm his soul mate and lover forever
