My Best Friend
My Best Friend
If no one smiled and no one grinned,
T’would be a terrible world we live in.
Turn about, look across your past,
Did you make any friends that would truly last?
Friends may come and friends may go,
However a true friendship will continue to grow.
A friend is made of the purest gold,
A true friend comes from a special mold.
A friend will be with you through good or bad,
A true friend like that never gets mad.
That friend will stand beside you from the start,
That friend will always be there with love in his heart.
The best friend anyone could have is God’s son,
With him on your side the battle is won.
He gave all of himself on the cross that day,
So you might find a place in heaven along the way.
Don’t let this loving, giving friend pass you by,
Grab on to him now, there won’t be a second try.
His love is known throughout this land,
Why not make him your friend, take a stand?
