Mr. Chocolate President

Dear, Mr. Chocolate President-elect...one half chocolate and the other half vanilla smooth. America can now truly take pride in her name, the great mixing bowl of the world. Were the descendant of an African immigrant and white female American could become the Forty fourth President of the USA. One mans dreams once deferred now comes true...Were one woman’s refusal to get up that lit a fuse. Where once hatred made some people blow up a church and killed innocent children in attempt to shatter that dream of equality for all of us. Where once upon a time a black man would have died, just because of the color of his skin and not the content of his heart. Now some forty years plus later...we all stand together united as one nation and prepare to inaugurate our first Chocolate President! We all now stand proud in knowing we all managed to get through the division that once kept us so far apart and all have arose to the occasion were we can now truly look past the color of ones skin and judge each other by the content of what’s in one's heart and words. Lady Liberty take off your veil that does covers your eyes and take a look at what America has done! Mr. Constitution take a break, no need for anyone else to debate your words...For America’s people have spoken and delivered on those very words that were written! All are created equally and now let freedom ring!

Isn't it wonderful to think that America can show her greatness once again by electing an African-American to the highest office in the land. Wonderful letter. Congratulations on making it to the first round.

Very heartfelt write here, Jay ...I'm not proud of the fact that there are 2 million people in prison most of whom are a minority, more than half the population of hungry, poor, and unemployed in this country are minorities and so, until all that changes, freedom's bell rings hollow for me. Congratulations on your writing(can you tell it got me wound up ... LOL ...) being selected to be a feature this week at the Soup.

Congrats on being featured, Such a beautiful dedication...I still remember how I felt at the time those words were announced...That he had won..It brought tears of joy to my eyes. I never dreamed I would have seen the day where America selected a Chocolate man to lead this nation... We have come so far over the years, we have a long road ahead of us but this is by far the greatest step in the right direction...Cheers and Double Cheers..For this Outstanding Write, God Bless, Tyesha

We wrote All men were created equal, but practiced all white men were. This was a giant step forward but we still have miles to go. He will have his hands full following the circus clowns, Dick and George. Congratulations on your featured write. Vince
