Mother For Mr
The beauty of that twinkling eye
That's moistened with a tear
What did I do to make her cry
As she hugged away my fear
In all my days I'll never know
More true to love than she
A mother's heart that's all aglow
Deserving much, much more, than me
Imagine, if you could, your son upon a cross
The pain she felt
As down she knelt
That impending sense of loss
Only a mother's love could well endure
Such a travesty
The promise of a Saviors love
That fulfilled her destiny
Not if, but when we meet again
My life I hope will be
A testament from now till then
Of a mother's love from Calvary.
