Mother? Oh Mother !
Unlike any such as other,
The one loved most is dear, dear mother.
From my beginning of conception;
Not one moment of deception.
Snuggled deep inside her womb,
Like a pharaoh in his Tomb.
When her pains, which did cause I,
Angelically she waited for that cherubic cry.
Delivered and now newly born,
From a placenta which lay badly torn.
It was time for me to give the test;
She suckled me gently at her loving breast.
I slowly grew into one to walk,
Mutter strange things and try to talk.
Never ever one to leave my side,
This bride now a mother, so full of pride.
In all the years while I grew up,
I was nursed to strength;
From her loving cup.
One day I know that we will part,
But I vow not to forget;
This – beautiful – heart.
