Morning Run
Morning Run
Got up with the rise of the sun
Grabbed my jackets as I went out for a run
Took in the coolness of the air
Let behind all my worries and cares
Down a path what is familiar ground
Where only the birds make the sound
Jogging at a decent speed
To keep on going, I feel the need
One mile or maybe two
Even three before I’m through
Until I cleansed of yesterday
And the stresses that came my way
Oh such beauty my eyes can see
On the trail ahead of me
There is peace and contentment on this road
Awaiting, after shedding this heavy load
So my feet must not tirer
Until I reach my fondest desire
