More Days

More days behind than the ones ahead Time has a way of playing a trick Love is one gift that will never fade Ice cream in my hand I'll have a lick Laugh some more when the hour is late Time has a way of playing a trick One day I too will close the old gate A life that's lived will not have regret Laugh some more when the hour is late Talking of the end I am not upset A future still lies ahead of me A life that's lived will not have regret These eyes are dimmer but still they see The people I love that mean so much A future still lies ahead of me I see my darling feel her touch More days behind than the ones ahead The people I love that mean so much Love is one gift that will never fade
