Moonlight's Song

As I opened my eyes, And rose to my feet, I noticed the moon, Shining down upon me. It tousled my hair, Beams toying with chestnut strands, And it sang to me, A melancholy sound of delight. I moved closer, entranced, The moonlight drawing me in, The sweet sounds of the night, Everlastingly bright. And Luna continued to sing, Asking for my hand in a dance, And we twirled and sang as one, Till dawn broke, bringing sunlight.
