Moonbeams and Tear Drops
Moon Beams and Tear Drops
Moonbeams to tear drops wandering about,
in a world of adventure, mystery, and tears,
captured by the excitement we often shout,
lost in the abyss of time we face our fears.
Days hold the memories of forgotten time,
caught in the realm of reality and confusion,
what is, what is not, blend within our mind,
rainbow of colors hold fantasies and illusions.
Child like innocence lingers from long ago,
while demons and darkness charm the way,
beneath the Sun a cold chill wind will blow,
tormented by scruples we face each new day.
Motivated by greed, lust and a quest for power,
we search in want just to satisfy our own desire,
too little, too late, we learn actions can devour,
right or wrong, love’s flurry sets hearts on fire.
Peace within comes from one’s state of mind,
utopia exist in the essence of our mortal being,
lost to the touch down through the ages of time,
stop, look, listen, and cherish, for it is fleeing.
