Mockingbird Milling Around
Mockingbird Milling Around
Had heard a mockingbird milling around
Who was making such a melodious sound;
Looked line one I had seen in a library book
And had been beside a beautiful brook.
A while for him would often have waited
And seemed so sleepy like he was sedated
Before bursting forth with an abundant sound
Which was enough to make your heart pound.
Can you imagine mockingbird in a library
Maybe it actually might be a canary
Who loved singing such a splendid song
And even continue to do it all day long.
No one would I ever want to offend
But think they are starting a new trend;
No matter how bad wind had been blowing
Near my library great full moon is glowing.
