Misty Rain

Come walk with me in the misty rain And see the past as through a veil. We can pretend hurt never came And that we knew no word like fail. The mist will drench pain still alive And fashion it to ashes ages away. We can know lost hope will revive. There is yet joy for us this late day. Clasp my hand harder if you will Tell me I haven’t mislaid my mind. The ecstasy of first love pulses still. Peace and passion we can yet find. Come walk with me in the misty rain And mend what was to what will be. Each kissing droplet cleanses the stain Nurturing a new life for you and me.

I wish the rain could wash all our pain away Paul - thankfully with friends to hold our hands we get through the bad times and sunnier days are hopefully around the next corner:-) Hugs Jan xx

Thank you, Jan. As usual, you speak the truth--here, in this comment--and in your magnificent poetry. What a privilege it is to have your association.
