I wake and see the pillow where your head once lay My life once bursting with colour Transformed into black and white Scattered memories surround me How I wish I could see your face I walk life’s lonely path With you no longer by my side 12~28~16

He is away with his family but the loneliness he feels when he's home is painful to see. We had a very quiet Christmas and will do the same for the New year:-) hope 2017 is a great one for you Agnes:-) hugs Jan xx

Very emotional! The loss of someone so dear to our hearts is the most painful thing that could happen to us. Great but sad poem, Jan.

Oh Jan, so well expressed. At the best, we are only partially equipped for this. I really cannot imagine; all I can do is fear it.

Such a sad and heart touching piece. To lose someone you love forever...how does one deal with something like that? Hopefully in time the good memories will outweigh the grief, but I can't be believe it would ever be completely. Nicely expressed Jan.
