Mirror of Memories
To look in a mirror and see sadness.
To grapple with thoughts confused, in silence.
To fear the unknown, its world of madness.
When the mind is lost in spacious nonsense.
I've no illusion of the coming dark,
As its nature is to scramble the mind,
And to make childlike a once patriarch.
Who'll stumble around with a brain that's blind.
This mirror is haunting, reflections cold.
The face I see, will disappear from me,
As my brain turns grey from the spreading mold,
And leads me to worlds, I won't know or see.
My eyes now open will fade from view,
As blank stares into yesterday's come through.
