Miracle Girl
Undistinguished that I am,
My days begin and end in miracles.
Each dawn I rise from beauty's bed;
Each night I fall into her embrace.
She raises me above myself
To make me seek the better man within.
I would be worthy of the love
Of she whose unseen loveliness
Exceeds all graces as mine reside without,
A poor imitation,
However fair they might appear.
