Raindrops fall into the sun As every thought now dies in incompletion Shadows, everywhere The world, one shade One restless, dead vibration And in every street Are signs that tell me who I'm meant to be Lost meaning, empty wallets strewn like sand across a desert plain The same, the same, all is the same I look to the heavens and cry out Ashamed for all I couldn't help to be These shadows of an image I can't see Cast in the clouds that had silver horizons Lost now, in such a calamity of color I can't help but feel now deep inside that I have never been before I have to say In no name in particular I'll always be Where you want me Where you want me To be Streaks across the window pane Aspersions never seem the same Creep down into my heart like veins of darkness Of such mystery Things made in me that I can't help but claim As hope Or fear I don't quite well remember which or when But then was only time And you And me Nor life nor sanity And all these hollow words These things that creep from out our souls And cast aside all claims to anything but emptiness I hear the singing softly I have never been I have to say With no name that I'll always wish to be Where you want me When you wish me We Hope Hope Wish that we could be
