Mind of My Own

I feel like an old house, Being torn down one board at a time. All of this pain, Twirling around in my mind. The pry bar being wedged, Between my heart and soul. Just ripping them apart, No gentleness, just cruel. Tossing the boards on a pile, Waiting to be burned. Just like my mind, Waiting for what it yearns. The pain of the claw, Of the pry of the bar. Numbness of the body, leaving the deepest scar. Until there is nothing left, No wood,no foundation of stone, And no mind of my own.
