Maybe One Day

Maybe one day Oh, how mighty you think you are. Thinking you could stop a shooting star. I ask, what did she ever do to you? Loved ones hearts left broken in two. Oh, how mighty you think you are. You think you can destroy her from afar. Let me tell you, the wounded are strong. To overcome something that is so very wrong. Let me tell you, hearts find a way to heal. Maybe, you should stop denying what is real. The disguise you wear doesn’t work anymore. Your malicious ways waning like never before. It is not us who have to face ruins of your ways. We are building a castle to be safe, these days. You don’t want to think about crossing the moat. The sin will sink you fast, while others float Away, away on a positive note. Maybe one day, you will stop in a sleek moment. When you will look at the stars, decide to repent. Maybe you will wonder about dungeons, gallows too. Maybe one day, you will choose a better place for you. Heidi Sands

Sin will sink you fast while others float...true. I know the hurt in this poem. The sin of the one that hurts unfortunately can prevent those thst were hurt from floating. Do you have other poems over time about this hurt? I'd be interested to see the change that takes place over time.

One other thing...I have many from years ago..that I haven't yet entered. Those would probably show quite a bit of change from then to now. Thanks again for asking.

Hi Michael. You are right. I have overcome it, thank God. I do have a poem called SECRETS for the abuse contest. and one called Fire too. But those are about the trauma. I have a few others on my pages , but not many. There has been a lot of growth. Thank you for taking interest in this. I really appreciate it! :)

Hi Daniel. There is both anger and hurt in this for very wrong doing. But we are not void of anger either and I do believe all emotions can be processed through writing. Thank you for visiting.

this one sounds angry Heidi. Sounds as if someone you know was hurt by another. That is sad but your poem sure does speak loudly.
