May Your Chains Be But Rotten Rope
May Your Chains Be But Rotten Rope
Of sorrows past, nightly regrets
empty glasses and barren fields
Vast dying seas and empty nets
broken swords, dead lain upon shields
Sits there, beasts with gleaming green eyes
waiting another hellish feast
Below, shackles of moon skies
shining for armies from the East.
Hold tight your dreams of future hope
warmth of home's blazing hot fires
May your chains be but rotten rope
love blessings before soul expires.
If accosted, stop fast to kneel
resting soul, high looms that next hill
