May I Live? (Freedom)
May I Live? (Freedom)
by Cate Rock
I sit in my room beside the old painting of that stupid bird,
It mocks me in a way...
I look to my computer for answers yet it seems to be screaming "GO AWAY!!!"
Marylin Manson screams about "Sweet Dreams" from my speakers,
Sweet dreams never come to those who cannot sleep...
Yet at night my room so dark and silent you'll never hear a peep.
Diamonds trace my figure leaving shadows that scream of a medieval mixture,
I pray for them not to look at me,
When they do they see through me..to the other side...
reveling something i try to hide.
My dress hugs my hips and comes short of my thy's,
My smile is meek and screams lies.
I stand next to my man yet my man is next to me,
The hurt the loss all those twisted up emotions you cannot see...
I dig deep for emotions
I beg for a plea,
Yet in the end all i have...
Is what beats within me.
I pray for freedom
Freedom away from free...
