Magic Road, Where Will It Lead

Magic Road, Where Will It Lead Magic road, I wonder where its curves lead Seeping into the mists of future time? Sacrifices that dares make the heart bleed Love so deep some may call it a crime! Are you my hard path to my darling so true? Weeping willows at every turn must foretell Greater chances to encounter danger and you Shall I break into that hard outer shell? Alas! This fork leads me into a darker state Tall oaks wrap its castle shining from afar Surrounding its walls, guards with eyes of hate Warriors all, heads with hair as black as tar! Walking away, road sings take this next turn There awaits sweet hope and miracles galore And sad days dearly needed to make you learn Tarry not long or there you stay forever more Looking back I seem to have lost my own past Seeker leaving cool days of soft Spring behind Now worried that hope shall never live to last I cry and weep for any help I may ever find! Abrupt turn, there sets the sun gracing life Gentle winds blow and here voices enter me Promising this fine spot shall I find my wife Her true love destined to heal and set me free! Robert J. Lindley , 10-04-2015 Note-- First half of this poem came to me a week ago and I wrote that fragment down. Last night the other half came to me again in a dream. I spent most of the day slowly adding verses as I could remember them. My muse, lazy vixen she be --gave me no help at all!

longest time friend. You've just exhibited to the highest quality exactly what I have missed in here for months. Your lines are so exciting and your words are each having that second hand of drawing me back to them again and again and again irrespective of how many times I have gone through them. Its nice to be home and you are part of the reason I have this refreshing feeling. A definite 7. Cheers!

This is fabulous my friend. Many times I will email myself from my phone if I come up with something. I came up with a couple lines at work last night and I'm starting to work on a poem now.

For a poem written in fragments, it came out good. Heartfelt pure from the heart. I love the ending too.

Thanks my friend. Many of my poems have been fragmented together to get the end product. Just that, I usually do not admit it. This one was different and required extra special care. As the great treasure eventually found at the end of that long road was my beautiful ,darling wife!

Thanks Andrea. Yes, I've been accused of that a few times before! Dreams step in when my lazy muse steps out. Or when I force her to flee. lol

Hi Robert! Your 'lazy' muse must have been working undercover:) I took the liberty to follow you along this magic road, and I am sure that with your vast experience you can read the signs that lead to love and a fruitful life! #7 // paul

Hi amigo! True, I read the signs alright but getting them into view was a herculean task it seems! That road was strewn with boulders, bandits and ruffians and those were just the tempting ladies I ENCOUNTERED ALONG THE WAY! LOL Thank God that I managed to elude their dark, grasping clutches.

Thank you my friend. I can rhyme a bit when my muse leaves me alone.. In fact, I run her off all the time-- just so I can rhyme.
