Madam Winter

Lady in white you sparkle so wearing an elegant gown of snow. Crisping the air in chill of night you frost our breath in sweet daylight. Children's laughter singing out while seasonal holly is strewn about. Toasty toes in woolen socks; gifts of love in every box. A new year bringing promise anmd hope and skiers gliding down every slope. You bring us shorter daylight hours for February's hearts and flowers. Soon we'll begin the trek to Spring; for now we'll treasure the joy you bring.
