Luleka Dingiswayo
never did i meet someone more valiant
fought apartheid in her way defiant
fighting poverty a non-stop battle
daily doctor a single green apple
shack sheet society a collection
a lack of work a real infection
her mind so sharp it cut for her a life
out of her shackled depressing life strife
she embraced all challenges big and small
she dared to dream whilst standing straight and tall
all her strength and virtue was not a match
for cancer inside her a deadly hatch
a fiercely gentle soul this life depart
only Jesus could treasure her big heart
-for Luleka-
