Love's Sonnet

A feeling that can’t be put To words. It has suddenly come Upon me. A tune to hum Freely. My heart is afoot For love’s game. Input Signals beating like a drum In my brain. This great maxim That we are easily fooled by those we love Plagues my mind. How to express Something I’d risk the world to say... But such thoughts must I confess! Or else be trapped in fear’s foul play! Oh, how love is a beautiful mess! Thus resolved, I constrain it day by day!

Hey, Skat! Thanks for the warm welcome; I'm glad to have joined Poetry Soup. Probably won't be on here too often, but I enjoy poetry nonetheless. I'm a 17 year old homeschooled professional landscape photographer! I appreciate art as a whole (music, painting/ drawing, poetry, rap etc...). I can solve a Rubik's Cube in 8 seconds... just a little bit about me. I thought I'd start posting some of my poems so that they're 'out there!' Thanks for reaching out! =D

Thank you very much! It's the first sonnet I've ever written; I was inspired by my friend's sonnet!
