Love Versus Lust
In this world
Every heart craves to feel loved
We pour our hearts out
We scream out loud
The silence kills us all
Our soul begins to fall
My heart is heavy
For this broken generation
We search for truth
In a failing creation
We sacrifice our purity
We see greed as maturity
Sell our souls
To make us feel whole
How much longer will I feed my lust
I know I need to find real love
Life is so much more than our next release
Intimacy is worth so much more than what we choose to see
We drown our sorrows
As we grow numb we become hollow
Question God from within
As we choose to live in sin
In order to enjoy ourselves
Why is it that we must lose ourselves
Every person has a story to tell
Somewhere along the line we have all fell
We judge a book by the cover
But choose to look past how they suffer
We have all lived in pain
We have all been lost in the rain
But I beg us all
Let's not lose ourselves under the weight of it all
There will be a brighter day
My heart is heavy
For this broken generation
We search for truth
In a failing creation
We sacrifice our purity
We see greed as maturity
Sell our souls
To make us feel whole
