Love That Lasts a Lifetime

I thought I caught a glimpse of you today And passing by your door I heard you laugh Or just a memory, I could not say It fades away like dusty photographs. I was ever there for you, so faithful A haven from life's woes, a sweet retreat Inside my arms we knit a bond so true A tie so strong no other love could meet. Yet all the while I knew you had to go To venture out and make your dreams come true And find a love that you could call your own To make your mark that only you could do. So proud to see the man that you've become This mother's love is ever true, dear son. Written on 10/23/2015

This is so touching, Laura. A mother's love throbs in all the lines. Brought a tear...made me think of my teenage son, of how soon he'll venture out on his own. Loved this. 7 and hugs!

So glad you could relate to my poem, Kim. It's hard to let them go, but I've also seen both my sons grow and become good men. Hugs, Laura:)
