Love Life
Love Life
There was a time I wasn’t sure
If I would ever love life.
It always seemed I was only surviving.
But I found my way through
All the winding roads.
By choosing to live authentically.
To stand by truth when I was attacked.
Words pelting me like cold sleet on my face.
I was squinting just to see beyond the tears
Where to go?
Misunderstood, yet never able to understand
The evil cast upon me.
I had many friends, but still I was alone.
But, not anymore.
Now, when I hear the Loon call, the owl hoot,
The hummingbird chirping…
I think to myself: ‘Yes, I love life too!’
