Love In Vain

My sunshine, Has turned into a heavy rain, The one who once brought me pleasure, Now brings me pain, My breath taking high, Has become my heart breaking low, My so called perfection, Had within it a hidden flaw, My source of strength, Turns out to be my weakness, The only fulfillment I knew, Has given way to emptiness, My place of solace, Now holds the worst of my fears, What began with joy filled laughter, Has ended in bitter tears, My happiness, Has been swept away by sorrow, The pain I feel, Makes me wish there was no tomorrow, I gave my heart, But got nothing back in return, One who has chased after the wind, Is like I who has loved in vain.
