Lost Love Divined

Young lass, young lad What aileth thee? Come hither, come near Let me have a query Perchance I may so then divine what troubleth thee, what torments thy mind Aaah, yes ... ooh no! I see where the discomfort within ye dwell It is your heart that is so impaled The blood of vigor has been a-flow Thy spirit is pale, has lost its glow The voice that beckons, thus make thy passions move Tis' no longer heard, thus thy soul's not soothed O where, O where lies thy remedy? Be gone despair Cast afar yonder all thy bane misery For listen now, for listen well Love's fortune, I do foretell Twas lost is found, twas fled is bound No more sick of heart is thine A face unknown has forwith been shown to be lost love divined

Hi Freddie, I knew you were a versatile writer. But I'm blown away by this piece. It has a old school (Shakespearian) vibe to it. I enjoyed every line and every word. The young lad needed an old wise man to school him on matters of the heart. Well done. A Big seven and a fav:-) Alexis

I don't spend much time in the soup any longer. I grew weary of the petty arguing and childish behavior of many, but I do sometimes visit the writes of friends and occasionally post one of my own. This one you've offered is terrific and yet no one even took the time to leave you a comment, while poets who are better known, not a better poet, gets kudos for blah blah blah. I'll read you, Freddie, because you have something worthy of reading.
