Lost In Eden
Lost In Eden
“26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezek 36:26 NIV
What did we lose in Eden?
It was a perfect character.
Praise God He wants to restore us
To the perfect nature of our Creator.
Eden was completely perfect
And so was our relationship with God;
Sin entered to cast down the glory
Of God’s creation in one accord.
Man’s glory must be laid in the dust
For God’s glory to reign.
His mercy and grace our pathway
No perfection can we feign.
Our catalyst to conviction,
That we need God our lives to restore,
Is faith that is a gift from God,
Our selfishness and independence to ignore.
What was lost in Eden
Will be restored in heaven.
Perfection once lost
Will be part of the millennium.
Peace with God and man
Means the ‘old man’ is crucified.
No more service to a sinful nature;
By a new character sanctified.
A perfect character lost in the Garden of Eden
Is to be restored once more.
Rejoicing in perfect peace and joy
Our Creator of all to adore!
The angelic hosts will raise their voices
To sing God’s praises on high.
All heaven will rejoice in our perfection
And God’s grace in free supply.
