Lost and Found

She sees the world through a glistening eye, Not knowing in her heart what went awry. She lived and loved and laughed aloud, Now she lives in a darkened shroud. Where will she go, who will she be? It's all she's known, this here, you see? Uncertainty looming above her head, Fills her spinning mind with unwanted dread. She travels alone in this plight of life, Never deserving of this painful strife. It leaves her feeling drained and weak, Love and comfort is what she seeks. Somehow she forges on with strength anew, Now in her soul she knows what she must do. Pick herself up with chin held high, and never let them see her cry. This life is hers and hers alone She'll make it through all on her own. With strength and pride and a smile on her face, She creates a life full of hope and grace. Success is hers and she's so full of pride, She thinks to herself this was quite a ride. Alone again she'll never be She's found herself, that's all she needs.

Val P, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) HAPPY HOLIDAYS. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@
