Looking Out From Within

It's an awfully strange feeling been in here now for a while don't really want to leave but maybe it's cramping my style This little body of mine seems to grow more each day feels bigger and stronger but is it really the way? What kind of world is out there? well I've got to be brave if I keep growing at this rate who knows what I might crave I hear a thumping in my chest it seems it beats to a rhyme hey this could be key to life worth more than any dime Hey how was I made? I must be a divine creation God only God it could be oh my what a revelation! AUTHOR NOTES: Just imagining being an unborn baby about to be born. Describing my feelings as I enter the world.

Hi Gordon, this is a great poem and a cool perspective. The second stanza seemed more like the mothers thoughts to me, interesting twist. In keeping the write consistent with the unborn first person perspective, a few minor changes would do the trick! Nicely done, can't wait to read more!

thanks again Jeannie, it was a strange one to do trying to put oneself in such situation, thanks again for your ongoing encouragement!
