Look To Tomorrow

Do you ever dream Of what used to be Do you ever look around Feeling pushed underground I can’t help but look to the sky to see Memories giving glimpses of what used to be They tell me don’t look to the past Innocence will never last So I ask Why should I look to tomorrow If it’s just another day of sorrow What’s wrong with looking to the past Where the love of home would always last I see so much hate and greed Never thinking of what we need A world so full of lust Love’s become a word never to trust Girls craving for love each and every day Enough to give themselves away Losing the dream of the princess Dreaming of the perfect kiss Men are told to become the man To do whatever they can So they chase after lust and greed Forgetting what they really need What happened to prince charming Fighting the dragon to win his perfect darling So I ask Why should I look to tomorrow If it’s just another day of sorrow What’s wrong with looking to the past Where the love of home would always last This world never gives a moment for silence Never giving time to see life’s diamonds What if we stopped worrying about tomorrow And prayed for wisdom to follow Feels like we’ve lost the love of God Living life trusting in our flaws Maybe I want to stand out Maybe I want to speak up Jesus said to let the children in They all came with smiling grins I want a heart of a child Let innocence run wild So I ask Why should I look to tomorrow If it’s just another day of sorrow What’s wrong with looking to the past Where the love of home would always last
