Look At Those Beautiful Lights

Look At Those Beautiful Lights By Elton Camp The family reunion has come to a close Kin are important & we like seeing those We were glad to a good size bunch came Who, in some way, share the family name Despite all the cooking & cleaning it does take We never thought hosting it to be some mistake But now the last ones are going down the drive Yet another reunion we managed to survive “Look at those beautiful lights,” my wife sighed “City lights?” I asked. “Tail lights,” she replied I have to admit that she is really correct, though Nice to see them come, but better to see them go

Ha Ha You are right. I used to feel like that but now that I have no family to come, I regret that I ever felt this way. I'd give ANYTHING for them all to come in through my door again - - but many have gone, not to return I'm afraid.

Hey Josie, How correct you are! I went from having many relatives to having virtually none almost overnight. The reunion is that of my wife's people. One of the relatives who attended this past weekend took a terrible fall on the way home. I doubt them being able to come again due to the infirmities of old age. My "humor" writes don't always reflect my true feelings.
