Longing

LONGING could you be the one to understand unspoken words the ones my heart holds silently undeclared deferred could you possibly discern passionate thoughts and emotions the ones my mind holds onto in preconceived notions could you see through eyes of fragmented perception deep the ones I encounter along life’s journey and keep could you listen and hear all things I attempt to explain the ones I expose when lost and vulnerable to pain could you fulfil the LONGING in my soul to be understood HEALED complete and whole could you? © Kim van Breda—February 2014

I absolutely LOVE this Kim, especially the repetition of 'could you' to start each verse and then turning it into a question at the end. WOW...To me, this is the perfect description of the longing for a true soul mate....How have you been my friend? - Tim

To walk together without a word . Words not spoken but plainly heard . Just hold my hand and feel the electricity. Then allow your heart to talk to me . Lovely poem Kym . Thank you for sharing .
