Living In Heaven Forever and Ever

Living in Heaven Forever and Ever Would you want things to be neat and nice Or perhaps perfectly pleasing like paradise Where great vacation you want to go on In every morning a splendid new dawn. Maybe better think about it for a while Could be belligerent or only beguile Not a chance my fine feathered friend This place prefer and want to end up in. Forget about ma and my messed up cap Or might want to go to avoid a mishap Want place to be gold and silver lined Which is exactly what I had on my mind. Rather than being razzled and frazzled I would really prefer to be dazzled That to me my thought sounded clever Ended up living in heaver forever and ever. James Thomas Horn Retired Veteran and Poet

Hi, James, to be dazzled is good! I liked your poem. I, also, am a Vet. Spent 2 years in the Army as a WAC. Stay strong my fellow poet. ~~Darlene

Well congrats on being 27th out of top 100, James. That is great. Why don't you suggest that free membership for vets! I live on SS and can't afford it. I have only been here about a year so I have no idea where I am on the list. Way low or not at all probably. But I do hope you will read me.

Darlene, Over 500,000 poems on poetry soup. Wow. They should give us retired vets a free premium membership. Right? I am now 27 out of top 100 with a total of 1,379 poems. Will have to check out yours. Jim Horn
