Little Sister
Piece by piece we set it up
Near the end
I had about had enough
Next came the decorations
Different sizes and all
Thought I couldn’t reach the top
For I was not that tall
Yet when it was finished
It was such a grand sight
As we turned the lights, off
It lit up the night
We lay on the floor
Gazing up at the tree
When she walked on in
And sat next to me
Looking up high
Up at the tree
She looked back down
Back towards me
What she said next
Shocked us both you know
She said daddy, sissy
You are my hero
I will remember that for years to come
The way she said that to me
Every year at this time
When we put up the Christmas tree
