Light and Dark
Look deeper now in shades and tints;
Indulge the mind as heart feels light;
Give voice somehow a cause to mint;
Hurl a bold find in brief insight;
Trust in delight that lives to soar.
Hide within reach the strokes that lift;
Urge plays with sight to scream and roar;
Rest hues in each to leave a gift;
Light flavours light as dark shades chime;
Sense a sure rage in colours crisp.
Deed tints most bright what portrait rhymes;
Appeal can stage a rainbow mist;
Reach language still in soul most pure;
Keep art that wills what brush works sure.
