Lifeless

Lifeless, Where is the glow, That once warmed my flesh. Breathless, What happened to the beat, That once drummed in my chest. Silent, My voice has ended, The song that once sang clear. Broken, I'm truly not a thing, Without you near. Bleeding, From the cavern, Where my heart once lay. Dying, By the time the sun is setting, At the very end of the day. Lifeless, Without you here, By my side. Lifeless, I am sure to die.

You are everything even without them, as shown in this poem. Incredible piece...you've got power and strength in your words that little can control. Your poems touch me deeply. it's nice to be back on your page. Always, Laura

A heart won't survive untouched, skin looses feeling, soul starves without dream. Your poem claws into my heart with it's sad beauty Jay...J.A.B.
