Souls transcend mere mortal flesh and bone
Opening the door to the unknown.
Until death is visited upon you,
Life and reality remain true.
One day, you'll see a tunnel of light,
and it'll be exquisitely bright.
Its brilliance shall eliminate night,
and all your misgivings shall take flight.
But, there might be a moment of fright
approaching this miraculous sight.
And you may be unsure of your plight,
but in your heart, you'll know it's alright.
It'll feel surreal when hurts heal,
yet you'll soon realize it is real.
Anxiously sorting sins to atone,
souls transcend mere mortal flesh and bone.
