Life Is a Dance
I have seen it spinned a man and flayed him
Seen it turned people into shadows, and dim
Movements arching, stretching, supple souls
Who the rhythm could not break. So hip rolls
Into the grind and pelvic thrust of a sublime
Urge, a longing to break skin away and to fly
The mind contorts the body to tell its paradigm
Of seasons changing us. We dance ere we die,
We all must dance where the music compels
Automatons of muscles, sinews and of bone
We carry in us the echo of life's loud trombone
Onto the stage where lights cast their spells.
Life is a dance, O,come twirl with me to reel
And script, we are free who live what we feel.
