Life
I've waited all winter for summer:
then squandered the summer for winter.
I've watched as the snow melted down;
then sun dried it up in a splinter.
Now it's time to bed down for the evening
that the stars are up high in the sky.
And it's not very long till the morning
that I can't but ignore the why.
As the time passes by for us all
and there's hope that we'll reap what we sow.
That to realize just what we have seen
is to pray that as much we will know.
And the days are going by like a clock hand.
that we're tired of the nights that will chase.
and we'll rise early up in the morning.
when our life brings us something to face.
