Letting Go

The light of the sun was blinding
And I lie down on the sand
The heat was blazing
Made me wish I had a fan
I close my eyes and listen
Hearing the roars of the ocean
Kids screaming and playing
While I feel my own emotion
Everything feels frozen in place
      Like it can last forever
But tomorrow I'll be gone with no trace
All my ties to this spot severed
Peace floods through me here
           Not a touch of fear
It will all be fine
As long as I stay on this pier
When I open my eyes it all seems different
        The world has changed
I realized its because I listened
And let go of the pain

Thank you! Sometimes its hard to let go of all your trouble, but you have to. :)

It's really quite ironic to read a poem about Holding On... only to read another one that tells me to Let Go (what are you bi-polar?... LOL). This felt like a story about moving way to a different place. There was pain at first, but then you realized that moving was inevitable... so you might as well be happy about it. Small little note though... there is a typo in the second to last line. Should be 'realized' not 'reliazed"...

HAHAHA! Not bi-polar just wrote them at different times. ;) Thanks Timothy! So did not see that typo! (Bad me!!) Changing it now! :D
