Let's Dance

Music, like poetry, gets under my skin. Talks to something deep within. My body can't help but express. The rhythm it is feeling I guess. It jumps up out of it's chair. Dancing and prancing, I don't care who is watching. It keeps the beat. C'mon get up, out of your seat. Dance with me. Isn't it fun? I'm loose...now it's your turn. Close your eyes, stamp your feet. Then let our two bodies meet. Jiving, it's all about counter balance. You push, I pull, what's the challenge? Raise your arm, under I go. Isn't it a delicious flow? How about a nice slow dance? That's it, into my body you advance. You move forward, I will follow. Two as one, there's the fellow. OK, I'm tired now, we'll take a break. But not for long, make no mistake.

Jean I think you and must meet. I also write about dancing but in my minnds eye I can se you jive while I disco. You do get people off their chairs and on their feet. You inspire me to post my Afrikaans poem about dancing but I would have to translate. Thanks for the kick -up -the- jack poem.

I am trying to picture that scene Jannie. Will you be wearing a white suit?? If you are going to disco, then I will need a wooden chair to jive with. Believe me, it would not be the first time.

My Dad was called The Music Man and had a Music Shop Anne-Lise. There was no escaping for me.. My last waltz was with him on my wedding day, I'm sorry to say.

Locally, I did Ceroc where I live in U.K. I did it for a number of years, got quite good at it. I don't dance regularly now but still enjoy it at a gathering.
